Regardless of the season, the Old Vines Restaurant located at Quails Gate Winery is the perfect choice for any meal or perhaps a mid-afternoon snack and glass of wine. With a beautiful view of the vineyard and lake as well as a stunning patio during the summer season, I can see why it is one of Kelowna's top destinations. Lately, they have been featuring a local jazz artist to make your Sunday brunch experience that much more memorable.

Our meals were beautifully prepared with fresh west coast oysters paired with an apple dijon mignonette, wild salmon benedict, brioche french toast and breakfast charcuteries. A flight of wine was absolutely necessary, white being mandatory as this was before noon along with mimosas and lattes.

Considering the weather was calling for rain and lots of it, it turned out to be a gorgeous day with the sun shining brightly. One of my favourite perks of Old Vines is once you are done eating you are welcomed to take your wine for a stroll through the vineyard where they have rolling grass hills overlooking the lake, and this we did. It was the perfect way to end yet another busy week in the retail work. Big thanks to the lovely TaLeah of @tswayphotography for joining us and capturing this birthday brunch.
